About 400 to 500 of the sterling silver charm molds used to make the charms on
this site 2 are from the 40's, 50's, and 60's. The newer molds have the word "sterling"
or 925 in them; however many of the older molds do not yet the charms are
sterling silver .925
Sterling items have a heavier feel about them. If you rub a sterling item on
a cotton white tee shirt the item should brighten up a little leaving a slight dark
residue on the tee shirt. Also, sterling items are a softer item and can
be bent or damaged without too much effort.

Wearing sterling silver should keep it bright and shinny. You can also rub on a cotton T shirt or jeans to brighten. The polish we use is HA-R22 which we sell for $4.50 for 4 oz.
